National Nurses Day is celebrated annually on May 6th to honor the dedication, contributions, and critical role nurses play in healthcare. It marks the beginning of National Nurses Week, which runs through May 12th—the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Thanks for all you do!!

The Suffolk county PD, the FBI, the Dept of labor, Oceanside fire Dept and Teamsters local 237
Participated to an extremely great group of students on career development and paths. It was well attended by students possibly choosing Blue Collar positions as a career!! Good stuff!

Syosset Library ratifies an awesome Local 237- 3 year contract today! Committee member Alisa Fogel and librarian Lisa Hollander were there for the count. 100% yes vote!! Congrats all!!

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is proud to celebrate March as Women's History Month as we honor the sacrifices and achievements of women in our union and our nation.
Since our founding in 1903, women have played a crucial role in the growth and success of the Teamsters Union and the broader labor movement. Women labor leaders participated in the very first Teamsters convention and since then have led the Teamsters Union to the forefront of fighting for gender equality in the workplace and society.
Every day, Teamsters women who serve as local presidents, business agents, stewards, and rank-and-file members fight and win the best contracts for workers of all backgrounds in all industries. This month and throughout the year, the Teamsters Union celebrates the selfless women who make our union stronger and improve the lives of 1.3 million Teamsters families across the country!

A Department of Public Works employee was out plowing roads in Babylon when he spotted the pooches running down the westbound side of Sunrise Highway.
