The Melvin Jones Fellowship Award was presented to two club members at the April 18th business meeting. This award is the highest award a club can present. This prestigious Award was presented by Regional Zone Chairman Steve Kajala from the Cook Lions Club to Babbit Lion Alice Gorecki and Babbitt Lion Ron White.

Babbitt Lions Vision Screening. Recently the Northeast Range Campus for assistance in the vision screening of students. This has been a on-going program for a number of years. Club members meet at the school cafeteria and help set up the vision charts and mark off the required distance. Students are brought in by grade. This year 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th grade students.

A new game by the Lions at the Embarrass Regional Fair was floating ducks for the kids. They could pick a duck and see if they won a prize. Running the setup was Lion Dyan W. and her friend from Chicago, Geri. Adults even got into playing. It went over quite well.
