Dear Equine Community,
Let's show up for each other, so that we may better show up for the horses, donkeys and mules that need us.

💞Reunited💞
When AJ had to give up Juniper 4 years ago, she thought this special mare would be long gone to another adopter, but little did she know that there was no better home for her, she just had to wait for the right time. Congrats AJ!!
Thanks again to Alix Rowland for donating her time and energy to prepareJuniper for her forever home!

🦄Join our team!!!🦄

Four Corners Equine Rescue is looking for an experienced trainer to assist our mission of rehabilitating horses for new homes. This position is focused on gentling and ground work as most of our horses come in with very little history of human interaction. We hold a “horse-first” perspective and utilize both negative and positive reinforcement training to achieve trust with our equines. Dominance and fear based training are not part of our protocol.

Responsibilities:
- Gentling wild horses, and teaching basic handling skills.
- Problem solving with reactionary horses, and helping them generalize the world around them.
- Preparing mature horses for saddle training.
- Developing safe saddle horses by expanding boundaries. (25% or less of hours worked will be in the saddle)

Qualifications:
- Proven success with wild horses.
- Ability to train without force or creating fear in an animal.
- Intermediate teaching skills to help volunteers and adopters succeed with the equines.

Compensation:
Part-time, 20 hours per week, 1099 independent contractor. $23/hour.
(This has potential to develop into a full time W-2 position for the right candidate)

To Apply:
Send a resume, three professional references, and a video demonstrating your skills to [email protected].
