There will be a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) SPECIALIST in the lobby of the Community Caring Center from 12pm to 4pm, MONDAY, 5/11/26. Appointments are not necessary.
Ms. Alonso will help navigate SNAP eligibility, fill out forms, and submit your documentation.
SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, is the largest federal nutrition assistance program in the US. It provides monthly funds via an Electronic Benefits Transfer card to low-income individuals and families to purchase eligible, unprepared food items.
If you stop by for assistance in registering for SNAP benefits, please be prepare to provide:
A valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or similar)
Social Security numbers (or proof of application) for all household members applying
Proof of residence (lease, utility bill, or official mail with their name and address)
Proof of income (recent pay stubs, employer statement, unemployment benefits, Social Security, etc.)
Proof of expenses, if applicable (rent/mortgage, utilities, childcare, medical expenses for elderly or disabled members),
Immigration documents, if applicable.
