Graveside Services for Harvey Lee Sanders
March 12, 1929 - June 8, 2024,
will be June 20, 2024, at 10 am.
There will be a graveside service only at Jaybird Cemetery located 915 Jay Bird Land, Springtown, Texas, 76082.

It is with great sadness that I let you know that Troop 147's longest standing Assistant Scoutmaster and oldest Webelo, Harvey Sanders, went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with his beloved Hazel this morning.
Harvey touched they lives of 1000's of Scouts and Leaders in his many years of Scouting. He was truly loved by all.

Last weekend, our Scouts teamed up with their sisters in Troop 147G to go hiking and bouldering at Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma.

Our older youth put together a high adventure trip kayaking and hiking in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado in July. They also visited the National Scouting Museum at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Troop 147 is getting ready and gearing up for Summer Camp. This year they are going to Slippery Falls in Oklahoma. If anyone is interested in helping a Scout go to camp with Campership money, you can contact any of the Troop 147 Leaders. We will be happy to accept your donations/camperships.

Our troop recently participated in the District Camporee. Our Scouts learned valuable search and rescue skills and met with local first responders and National Guard.
