Other clubs have sold parents on going to a more “serious” club.
By their definition, Serious is burpees, sprints and yelling at the kids, sometimes even name calling.
We have never been a club to scream at kids or call them names, but that doesn’t make us not serious. We view the Matroom like a classroom, a lab.
I hope teachers aren’t screaming at kids in the classroom or lab at schools.
The other important note…. Many of those coaches pitching how serious they are. I didn’t see them at Super 32, Tulsa Nationals, the US Open or FS/GR Nationals.
If you are serious about helping athletes at the highest level you should probably show up to the most SERIOUS competitions for your athletes.
We get called the “Fun Club” because we play games at practice. Penn State, Oklahoma State and the US World team members play games…. That’s who we copy.
