Attention!!

Any parents with youth level (K-8) wrestlers who would be interested in going to any wrestling camps this summer. There are some AWESOME wrestling camp opportunities in Nebraska this summer for younger wrestlers. If you are interested in knowing more about any of these camps, please email [email protected] and I will forward you all of the camp information that I have received!

Here are some upcoming wrestling opportunities nearby! The Midwest Classic (Kearney) is on Saturday Oct. 24th, Loper Performance Training (Kearney)-Registration Deadline is tomorrow. And also the Cornhusker State Games Wrestling will be held November 14th in Lincoln. If you sign up to go to any of these, please let me know!

Attention Youth Clubs and Parents!
Did you know this year we have added a 3rd-8th grade division to our Blue and Gold Team Camp on July 28th-31st? Come learn from some world-class wrestlers, get some live matches in and have some fun with your wrestling team!

This is a great opportunity to get some live matches in prior to the NEUSA State Tournament on Aug. 1st-2nd!

Just a heads up to everyone who was planning on wrestling this weekend. I believe most of the events have been cancelled. I know for sure AAU State and the Amherst invite have both been cancelled.

Just wanted to get this information out to anyone who is still interested in wrestling. The Golden Eagles is a great club, your son or daughter would be coached by some of the best coaches in the Nation only 15 miles up the road. We are lucky to live so close to a lot of great wrestling opportunities that can make you better. Also, it is Freestyle & Greco training (the type of wrestling that they do in the Olympics) so it is a nice way to keep wrestling but take a break from folk style. Many of the best wrestlers in our area go to these practices and these practices are part of the reason why they are some of the best wrestlers in the area/state. I believe that Taaron Lavicky & Jacob Fox will be going again this year so if you are interested you might be able to set up some car pooling. The best way to improve at wrestling is by off season wrestling!

Southern Valley has their youth wrestling tournament tomorrow for anyone interested! Other meets this weekend are Kearney Mat Jam, NEUSA Districts in Kearney to qualify for the NEUSA State tournament, Kearney Catholic, Doniphan-Trumbull for close tournaments.

Congrats to Taaron Lavicky. He wrestled on a dual team with 2Tuff Gym out of Hastings. Taaron went 2-1 & his team won the dual tournament!

There will be no youth practice for the rest of this week. Youth wrestling will resume on Monday the 17th. For anyone interested in wrestling this weekend, Anselmo-Merna & Superior look to be the closest tournaments in our area. They’re both on Sunday, I have sheets at the school if you want a printed off sheet. Otherwise just go to the huskerland wrestling website, find the calendar & all of the meets going on this weekend will show up.
