❤️🖤💚 Today, on Juneteenth, we honor freedom, resilience, and the enduring strength of community.

At Windwood Farm Home for Children, we see every day how healing happens through connection—when a child feels supported, valued, and knows he doesn't have to face life's challenges alone.

This Juneteenth, we reflect on the importance of creating a future where everyone has the opportunity to grow, learn, heal, and thrive - together.

Because every child deserves the freedom to dream, the support to overcome obstacles, and the opportunity to reach his full potential.

🏔️🏃‍♂️THIS IS IT! Tomorrow The Miles that Matter team takes on 100 miles for the boys at Windwood Farm!

At 7:00 a.m. EST on June 19, Will Senn, Jay Bethea and Peyton Talbott will begin an incredible journey through Wyoming's rugged Bighorn Mountains—RUNNING 100 MILES straight through to support the boys at Windwood Farm. 💪🏼

This isn't just a race. Every mile represents hope, healing, and opportunity for boys who face tremendous challenges as they work to overcome trauma, abuse, and neglect. The dedication and grit of these runners remind them that even the hardest journeys can be completed one step at a time. 💚

Even more inspiring? This will be the first 100-mile race for all three runners.

🥰 On International Children's Day 💁, we celebrate every child. - and believe that they not only deserve safety and stability—but also deserve the chance to experience the simple joys of childhood. 🤸‍♂️

💙 For many of the boys who come to Windwood Farm, childhood has been shaped by trauma, abuse, or neglect. Simple experiences that many children enjoy in the summertime —family vacations, pool parties, summer camps, and carefree days with friends—they've simply never had.

💁Every day, we work to help rewrite that story by providing a safe, nurturing 💚environment filled with caring relationships, new experiences 🤸 and opportunities to simply be kids. 🌞 This summer, that means laughter, friendly competition, and fun!🤸

💫 HUGE thanks to 💚 The Wright Reason Foundation, who treated the boys to an incredible summer afternoon on the farm 🎈 with a potato sack race, 🌮a piñata filled with surprises, and a delicious food truck lunch. 🍦 It meant the WORLD to them. THANK YOU!🏃‍♂️🎉

And because of the generosity of our community, Windwood can provide help, hope and healing - one child - one great memory at a time. 💚🌈⛅

At Windwood Farm, healing happens in many forms—including among the butterflies. 🦋🌼

We are incredibly grateful to donor and volunteer Bill Medved, a talented landscape architect whose expertise and dedication help keep our butterfly gardens thriving year-round. From designing and maintaining the gardens to installing and managing an irrigation system, Bill shares invaluable master gardening knowledge that ensures these beautiful spaces continue to flourish.

The butterfly gardens provide more than natural beauty—they create peaceful places for the boys to observe, learn, reflect, and connect with nature. Thanks to Bill's generosity of time, talent, and care, these gardens remain a vibrant part of life at Windwood Farm.

Thank you, Bill, for helping cultivate a place where growth, transformation, and hope can take root every day. 💙🦋

💚 June is National Reunification Month 👪

This month, we celebrate the families, caregivers, and service providers who work together to help children safely remain with or return to their families whenever possible.

Many people know Windwood Farm Home for Children for our residential program serving boys who are healing from abuse, neglect, and trauma. But what many don't realize is that through Windwood Family Services, we are also helping strengthen families throughout the Tri-County community before a crisis leads to separation.

Our Family Resource Connection and Preservation Services (FRCPS) program provides individualized, family-centered support designed to help children, youth, and caregivers overcome challenges, build stability, and remain safely together. By connecting families with resources, guidance, and ongoing support, we help prevent out-of-home placements and reduce involvement with the child welfare system.

✨ More than 5,000 local children have remained safely with their families instead of entering protective custody over the past decade.

✨ In 2025 alone, Windwood's Family Resource Specialists served 95 families and 234 children.

✨ 100% of those families remained intact.

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving, and stable environment. During National Reunification Month, we honor the power of strengthening families, preserving connections, and creating brighter futures for children across our community

🚲💙 Happy World Bicycle Day! 💙🚲

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible gift of freedom, confidence, and childhood joy that bicycles have brought to the boys at Windwood.

This past holiday season, generous donors and volunteers gifted bicycles and helmets to our boys, creating opportunities that many of us may take for granted. For some of the boys at Windwood, this was their very first chance to learn how to ride a bike—a true childhood milestone.

Whether mastering a three-wheeler, or taking those exciting first rides on a two-wheeled bicycle, each boy experienced something powerful: independence, accomplishment, and the simple joy of being a kid.

Many of the children we serve have faced significant challenges in their young lives. Moments like these help create new memories, build self-esteem, and remind them that childhood can be filled with fun, adventure, and possibility.

We hope these photos capture even a small glimpse of how meaningful these gifts have been. Thank you to everyone who helped make these special moments possible. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for this extraordinary effort on behalf of Windwood Farm Home for Children! 🥰

For many years, Will Senn has been a dedicated friend and supporter of Windwood. 💪We are thrilled that he, 🏃🏼along with Peyton Talbott 🏃🏼‍♂️and Jay Bethea 🏃—members of Miles That Matter—will be taking on the legendary Bighorn 100-Mile Ultramarathon on June 19 to raise awareness and support for the boys we serve.
🙌💚

Their commitment, perseverance, and willingness to push beyond their limits embody the very qualities we hope to inspire in the young people at Windwood. 🫶The boys in our care need positive role models—people who demonstrate courage, resilience, and the belief that challenges can be overcome. 🦸‍♂️

We hope you'll join us in cheering these incredible athletes on as they tackle 100 miles for a purpose greater than themselves. And if you're able, please consider supporting their fundraising goal of $25,000 https://windwoodfarm.charityproud.org/FundraisingDonate/Index/17512?a=1
to help provide healing, hope, and opportunity for boys recovering from abuse, neglect, and trauma. 💚🏆

Every mile matters. Every gift matters. Every child matters. 🙋‍♂️🙆‍💁‍♂️🙋‍

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close 💚🧠, we are reminded that healing happens every single day at Windwood Farm Home for Children.

Our boys are learning healthy tools for recovery and resilience through:
🧘 Yoga & mindfulness
🌳 Outdoor education and recreation
🎣 Time spent in nature
⚽ Physical activity and teamwork
💙 Therapy and emotional support
🤝 Caring relationships with trusted adults

For children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma, healing is a journey — and every step matters. At Windwood, we work to provide safe spaces, healthy coping skills, and opportunities for boys to rediscover confidence, joy, and hope for the future. 🌅✨

This Mental Health Awareness Month, thank you for supporting programs that help children heal at Windwood Farm. Together, we are building brighter futures. 💚
