This is our friend Alicia. Angels for Alicia Hruby

Alicia is incredibly sick and currently back in the hospital. Since last March, she has only been able to spend 24 days at home because of her chronic terminal illnesses. And yet, she continues to show more strength and heart than most of us could imagine.

On Monday she turns 27.
Let’s make sure she feels surrounded by love.

If you have a moment, please send her a birthday card. A few kind words can make a hospital room feel a little less lonely.

Today is two days short of 23 weeks for this admission, but guess what?

She would have been home yesterday if she didn’t have an ileostomy prolapse that delayed it.

We want to thank EVERYONE in Montefiore and Presbyterian hospital who had a hand in her care. They are amazing here and are like family. 10 East/West even gave her a card and “emotional support chicken nuggets” (see picture below).

The doctor STRESSED that she is medically fragile. She can’t do anything when she gets home. She can’t strain, she needs assistance to move, etc.
She would love to have company now that she will have more freedom. Please contact ONLY ME to make plans to visit.
We do not want to overwhelm her, but don’t take that to mean she doesn’t want to see you. She does. ❤️ She just needs love in small doses.
