How many others would have taken up their evening to save a cat at 9pm?
Our rescue has no time limits. This is what we do to help stray cats in our community. This little guy is safe now, in our shelter and free from harm.

Cassie- upon arrival to our shelter and today:
Late on a rainy Sunday evening, Pet Connection Cat Shelter received a cat in urgent, heartbreaking need of help. She was frail, neglected, and utterly exhausted—her small body showing clear signs of a long and difficult struggle. It was evident she had endured far more than any animal should ever have to face, and she arrived in desperate need of comfort, safety, and care.

We soon learned she is an elderly cat. After receiving immediate medical attention and gentle, attentive care, she slowly began to recover. As her strength returned, so did something even more beautiful—her spirit. Beneath the fragile exterior emerged a soft, affectionate soul who simply wanted to be loved and finally feel safe.

Today, we are deeply grateful to share a recent photo of Cassie. Her transformation is nothing short of extraordinary. She is stronger now, brighter in spirit, and finally experiencing the warmth, comfort, and kindness she has always deserved. This incredible change is only possible because of the compassion and generosity of supporters like you, whose donations provided her with life-saving medical care, nourishment, and love when she needed it most.

From all of us at Pet Connection Cat Shelter, thank you for your continued support. Cats like Cassie are the heart of our mission, and because of you, she now has hope, safety, and a real chance at the love-filled life she has waited so long to find.

❤️ Meet Rocket — A Little Survivor With So Much Love to Give! 🐾

Rocket is a playful, affectionate kitten who has come such a long way. He was born to a feral mother who was sadly discarded, and from the very beginning, Rocket’s life could have taken a very different path.

But Rocket was given something incredibly important: a chance to learn that humans can be kind, gentle, and loving. ❤️

With patience and care, we have shown him that people are here to love him, not hurt him. And Rocket has responded in the sweetest way — he has opened his heart to us and learned to trust and love human companionship. Watching him blossom has been truly special.

Now, Rocket is ready for the next chapter of his life: a forever home of his very own. 🏡💕

Hidee is a stunning 3-year-old calico whose gentle soul is just as beautiful as her colorful coat. Despite whatever hardships she may have faced before coming into rescue, she has never stopped believing that people can be kind. She greets everyone she meets with love, affection, and a quiet hope that this time, someone will choose her forever.

Hidee absolutely adores people and thrives on attention, pets, and companionship. She is also wonderfully gentle with other cats and has no aggression whatsoever toward them. She would make an amazing companion for a friendly resident cat or be perfectly content as your devoted best friend.

All Hidee wants is a safe home, a soft place to rest, and someone to love with her whole heart. In return, she’ll fill your days with purrs, head bumps, and the unconditional love that only a rescued cat can give.

For Valerie Scobel, it all started in 1993 with an article in a local paper looking for foster homes and volunteers. In the 20 years since then, the Pet Connection adoption and rescue center has grown to be able to house as many as 200 cats.
