🎉 26 Years of Serving Our Community 🎉

For more than 26 years, Southwest Lending Closet has been helping neighbors regain independence, mobility, and hope. What began with the vision of founders Glo O’Donnell, Linda Wyman, and Ellen Nelson has grown into a community resource that has helped thousands of families access home health equipment at no cost.

Every day, people come through our doors facing unexpected challenges. They leave with the equipment they need—and often with renewed confidence and encouragement. Whether it’s a walker, wheelchair, shower chair, knee scooter, or another piece of equipment, each item represents someone’s path toward healing and independence.

This work is made possible by our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and supporters who believe that no one should go without the equipment they need. Thank you for helping us serve our community for 26 years—and for being part of the next chapter of our story.

💙 Finding the right equipment starts with the right people.

Southwest Lending Closet Executive Director Ann DeVlaeminck wants the community to know that our volunteers do more than lend equipment — they help people find the equipment that best fits their individual needs.

Whether you’re recovering from surgery, helping a loved one at home, or simply unsure which mobility or bathroom assistance device might work best, our team can help guide you through the options available.

Because everything is donated and loaned free of charge, you can try equipment before investing in something you may only need temporarily.

Thank you to Ann and all of our dedicated volunteers who make this service possible every day.

Have an old vehicle you’re no longer using? 🚗💙 Donate it to the Southwest Lending Closet and help provide life-changing medical equipment to those in need.

Board President Sarah Claridge shares how vehicle donations help fund the purchase of more wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other essential equipment for our community. Every donated vehicle helps us continue our mission of neighbors helping neighbors.

We also want to say thank you to all of our dedicated board members who generously give their time, leadership, and heart to support the Southwest Lending Closet and the families we serve every day. 🙏
