Today, I was invited to a church in Avondale and they prayed over me. It was an honor and I am overwhelmed by the fact that the Lord continues to lead me to and surround me with brothers and sisters in Christ. I am grateful for the love and support of the community and I know God has placed me exactly where I’m supposed to be.

On this day, January 27, twelve years ago, my interpreter stepped on an IED just 10 feet away from me. It's a day etched in our memories as she lost both her legs, and I was thrown by the blast then having to assist our commander in administer life-saving measures for her. It's undoubtedly one of the toughest days we've ever faced. However, after 12 years, we're grateful to spend the entire day together, celebrating our blessings and the gift of life. We believe that God has a purpose for every trial. If it weren't for her, it could have been me, and I carried that guilt for years until I surrendered it to God. 💜🇺🇸 She embodies strength, positivity, and resilience like no other person I know. 💜🇺🇸 All glory to God!
