What we do - Share The Music is a program that uses your unwanted or broken musical instruments to change a child’s life through the gift of music. Do you have an old marching snare sitting in the attic collecting dust or perhaps a guitar in your basement broken in three pieces? If so, please consider donating to Share The Music and allow us to transform these forgotten instruments into pure joy a
nd delight for a child in our surrounding community. Where we operate – Share The Music currently operates in central Indiana however we’re always looking for volunteers to expand into surrounding areas. Current operations are located in Avon Indiana. What we DON’T do – Share The Music is 100% non-profit and relies solely on the donated time / services of several local businesses and instrument luthiers when repair is needed. If a donated item is beyond repair, the person will be contacted and given the choice to donate as parts for other instruments currently awaiting parts. How we give – Share The Music is a program reserved specifically for children under the age of 18 however any individual with a mental or physical disability will be accepted as well. All donations will remain anonymous and most importantly, presented to the recipients with dignity. Share The Music does not discriminate against anyone based on race, gender, sexual orientation or even poor musical tastes ; v )
