Friends of Avon Music Education - FAME

Friends of Avon Music Education - FAME Supports the performing arts in the Avon schools (advocacy, scholarships and student needs) We are Avon High School's music booster club.

Our organization was founded in 1996 by a group of parents who were interested in supporting the AHS music program. Through the efforts of F.A.M.E., money has been provided to purchase:
Chorus risers, recording equipment, band instruments and a sound system
Acoustic Shell
Concert attire
Funding for clinicians and performers
Enrollment fees for the Jazz Band to participate in regional competi

tions
Partial purchase of two basses for our growing strings program
Sectional instruction for Bands and Orchestra
Accompanist for Choirs
Percussion storage cabinet
Receptions following all concerts
Annual scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated excellence in their musical pursuits
Dollars for Scholars scholarship fund
For the past 8 years, Avon High School was chosen to host Northern Regional Auditions and we will continue to do so this November.
