The Founder of Cars for Oligo Dimitri Kondas would like to share his story to welcome everyone to this page.
In July 2020, Dimitri was diagnosed with an oligodendroglioma brain tumor. Dimitri, his wife, and three sons have been in awe of the blessings and support they’ve received from family, friends, and even strangers throughout this journey that has included surgeries, chemotherapies, and proton radiation. His journey hasn’t been easy, and it isn’t over. During his recovery after surgeries and treatments, Dimitri began to wonder how he could also help others—specifically those who have this diagnosis. He wants to bring awareness of this rare tumor so that a cure can be found.
