Avon Dollars for Scholars Since our founding, we have awarded more than $2 million in scholarships. Avon Dollars for Scholars was founded by leaders of the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton.

In 1975, we became a chapter affiliate of Scholarship America, a nationally recognized, non-profit student aid service organization. Since our founding, we have awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to some of Avon's most deserving students. Avon Dollars for Scholars is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax exempt foundation. The all volunteer Board of Directors is composed of local residents, educators and business people who are dedicated to education.

Mardelle Pena, president, and David Kotler, VP, presented Connor Wolfe, the winner of the Avon 250 Commemorative Scholarship, with his award. He described his musical composition, The American Individual, and the entire 4 minute piece was played for the audience. Connor will have a $2,500 scholarship waiting for him upon graduation next year. Also pictured below is Connor with his very proud parents.

$2,500 Scholarship to celebrate Avon 250

Avon Dollars for Scholars is proud to announce the Commemorative Avon 250 Scholarship to help celebrate the Avon 250 festivities happening this year as part of the America 250 celebrations.

This scholarship is open to graduating seniors in either the class of 2026, or the class of 2027. You must graduate from Avon High School or be an Avon resident to be eligible for this scholarship.
