The presence of James Dewar's descendants in Geneseo help to complete the "Semi-Artificial Dessert Triangle" by connecting with Kool Whip in Avon and Jello in LeRoy. Welcome Tw***ies!

Tw***ie April 6, 1930 The Tw***ie is invented by James A. Dewar. While working for the Continental Baking Company (which later became Hostess), he needed a substitute for the filling in their strawberry shortcake, as strawberries were seasonal. So he substituted cream for the strawberry filling and the Tw***ie was born. He himself ate three a day and lived to the age of 92. The original Tw***ies had a stated shelf life of only 26 days (the newer ones are 45 days), but as we all know, after the Zombie Apocalypse the only thing remaining will be cockroaches and Tw***ies.

Thanks John!

That Friday Feeling: How it is, how it will be in six months time. About a 80 degree swing from the capture I took today, to what it will be like this summer at the stunning 1820 “Jell-O Barn” in LeRoy, NY (Genesee County). As the vintage barn proclaims, LeRoy is the birthplace of “America’s Most Famous Dessert”. Have a terrific weekend and STAY WARM—even Florida is going to be “cold”.

LE ROY — Just outside of Exit 47 on the Thruway is a large billboard inviting motorists to visit the Jell-O Museum in Le Roy.
