First of all, thank you to each and every person who has purchased our book, The Day I Was Born. You helped us come Full Circle with our book project. Last Wednesday, Grandma Ruth proudly presented a donation from our book royalties to Richard Neth of the Ahrens-Fox Full Circle Preservation Society. This donation will assist in the preservation and upkeep of the antique firetruck. Many years ago, Grandma Ruth helped to found the Avon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and at one point even had a ride in the old firetruck. It is important to preserve our local history and we are proud to support that in whatever ways we can. It is a cause that is near and dear to her heart, and now to mine.

Committee Ideas

Fundraising - We need people who are knowledgeable about developing, planning, running, and managing the entire fundraiser. These people will continue to plan and implement fundraisers throughout the year.

Membership Recruitment - These individuals will conjure up ways to get others to join either in one of these sub committees or at events!

Secretarial Duties - These people will send out thank you notes and gather ideas for news stories.

Event Seeker - This committee will seek out musters and parades that the Ahrens-Fox can attend in the area, or make up some events of our own! Who says we can’t hold a muster??

Social Media - Facebook, X, Instagram, whatever other avenues that can be explored! Also, maybe upkeep the Go-Fund-Me page.

Sponsors - Find companies that would like to sponsor us for the year. Their logos will be on a banner and displayed on the fire truck.

Genealogy Researcher - Basically what happened to her when she was at Sandy Warthmans? Why wasn’t she scrapped? How did the next owner learn about her, and the next, and the next?
