The Avon Care Center is a volunteer organization committed to providing essential provisions such as clothing, shoes and minor household supplies to families in Avon and surrounding areas. The Avon Care Center is staffed solely by volunteers from the Avon community. Our goal is to serve those in need in a confidential manner that does not discriminate due to circumstance or financial status. The A
von Care Center (ACC) operates independently from the Avon Local Schools system. Items in the ACC are furnished by donations from residents within the community. The ACC hosts two distribution events during the school year: one at the beginning of the winter season and one at the beginning of the spring season. At each distribution event, articles of available clothing and goods will be displayed according to gender and size. Families interested in accessing the ACC will be able to register for a time slot during which time they are welcome to secure needed items. Items may include pants, shirts, sweaters, shoes, athletic cleats, jackets, pajamas, and a small amount of household personal and cleaning supplies. Outside of the distribution events, the ACC schedules appointments on an as-needed basis. If you are interested in donating to the ACC, please contact [email protected].
