Hi... This is Dawn from the Church Service Center food pantry at 104 S Railroad Ave in Avon Park. Here we share God's Love with free food, clothes, household goods and financial help with utilities and rent when donations allow. We also share God's Words of Salvation as well as prayers to our clients. We have about 20-25 regular volunteers and are always looking for more help if you have the available time. Please call or visit. No staff gets paid and all our help is free to those in need. We are open every Tues and Friday morning 7:30-12 noon. We will again be servicing over 30,000 people in Highlands County this year with God's and your help. If you know someone that needs our assistance please refer them to us to fill out an application for eligibility. Our phone # is 863-452-6464. Donations are always accepted of food, clothes, household goods, plastic grocery bags and cash or checks if God stirs your heart. Right now an upright large freezer just died on us. Just checking to see if anyone in our community has one or knows someone that has one available to donate or sell at a very reasonable price so we can receive more food for our clients.
