The Who I Am Foundation

The Who I Am Foundation When voices fall silent due to stroke, memory-care challenges, special needs, or trauma, personal identity can feel lost.

Our free Life Story Board Kits help adults and children communicate who they are by sharing their story in a powerful, visual way. Our Mission is to Speak For Those Who Can’t! What if a family member faced challenges preventing them from telling us "This is Who I Am"! What if there was a wall hanging your family could put together holding photos and notes telling their story? We have that and it i

s free to any family who needs one. Our vision is to help Dementia and Alzheimer Patients, Special Needs Children and Adults, Nursing Home Residents, Nonverbal Patients or Patients in an Isolation Unit with no visitation have those around them understand who they are.

Two phone calls today began with the words, "you are not going to believe this."

My first thought was, "Oh, yes, I will," because over these five-plus years, I have witnessed countless miracles.

I do not take this for granted and am amazed at what God is doing through this little foundation. We thought we would only serve 200 people, but by the end of this year, that number will be over 18,000, and we will have expanded into Southern California and deeper into South Carolina. I only regret not writing down every single one of these "you're not going to believe this" calls. The Who I Am Foundation God has been so good to us.

A huge thank you to the incredible team at Seacoast Bank in Avon Park for helping us prepare for our Christmas in July Pajama & Sneaker Drive! 💙

One of the most exciting sights has been watching the towers of collection boxes grow at our office, ready to be placed throughout Highlands County.

These collection boxes will appear at businesses, organizations, and churches across Highlands County very soon. If your business, organization, or church would like to serve as a collection site, we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks to community partners like Seacoast Bank, we're building the foundation for a successful drive that will benefit local children in need.

Interested in participating in the Pajama & Sneaker Drive? Call (863) 453-4840 or contact us at [email protected] to learn how you can help.
