🎣 Don't forget about our Summer Fishing Programs! 🎣

Our fishing programs are underway at Walker Road Park, and we're ready for another great summer on the water!

Our Activities Coordinators participated in hands-on training with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), learning fishing basics, knot tying, baiting hooks, casting techniques, fish identification, and more. Thanks to their training, they're ready to help participants of all skill levels have a fun and successful experience.

Unfortunately, due to lake conditions, we had to cancel the walleye derby this morning. We will still be having a cookout at 11am so come join us at The Avon Lake Boat Club!

The Avon Lake Boat Club Apparel Store is officially open!! Special pricing is available through Sunday, June 21st. Shirts, hoodies, hats, accessories and more are available. Orders can be picked up free of charge at Big Frog in the Avon Commons across the street from Costco. Shipping options are also available. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in their Avon Lake Boat Club swag!

Please join the Avon Lake Boat Club at Veterans Park for an open house celebrating the 250 Jubilee this Saturday, June 13th from noon to 3pm! Snacks and boat rides will be provided!! Hope to see you there!!!

🎣🐟 Fishing is Back at Walker Road Park—and There's Something for Everyone This Summer! 🐟🎣

Our popular Fishing with Friends program returns June 10 – July 25, giving kids ages 15 and under the chance to enjoy mornings by the pond, learn fishing skills, and make new friends.

We know many parents and guardians work during the day and aren't able to join us for our morning sessions. That's why we're excited to introduce Fishing with Family, running June 10 – July 23, giving families the opportunity to enjoy an evening by the water together.

Whether you're teaching your child how to cast a line, sharing stories by the pond, or simply enjoying a beautiful summer evening outdoors, Fishing with Family is all about creating memories that last.
