This scholarship fund was created in memory of our daughter, Alivia M. Agosto, of Avon Lake, Ohio. Livi, as we affectionately called her, attended Saint Joseph Catholic School in Avon Lake, where she was an avid volleyball and basketball player, cheerleader, and school play participant. She also loved playing the trumpet in the Elyria Catholic High School marching band as an 8th grader.
A "military brat," Livi was born June 3, 2003 at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. She also lived in Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, Wichita Falls, Texas, Larissa, Greece, and Avon Lake, Ohio and traveled to many destinations around the world with her family during her short 13 years of life.
She was a selfless child who always thought of others before herself. One example of her loving nature was when she was only 10 years old. She came up with the idea of donating her hair to the Locks of Love organization which collects donated hair to make wigs for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This is just a small sample of who she was.
Livi attended Catholic schools during most of her life. When in Wichita Falls, Texas, much of her education took place at Notre Dame Catholic School. After our family moved back home to Ohio, she attended Saint Joseph Catholic School and was planning to attend Elyria Catholic High School before her untimely passing at the end of her 8th grade year.
