No lifeguard will be at the pool today, Saturday, August 29, 2026. POOL HOURS are Noon until 8:00 pm. When no lifeguard is on the duty, the following applies:
Residents and guests are still required to sign in with an authorized pool pass in their possession and will swim at their own risk. Pool and safety rules will remain valid, children should not use the pool without adult supervision, and adults should not swim alone. During a hazardous weather situation, swimmers will depart the swimming pool and not re-enter until at least 30 minutes have lapsed since the last sign of thunder or lightning. All activity in the pool area is video recorded and anyone identified violating rules or damaging property will be subject to revocation of pool privileges and/or criminal prosecution. If it becomes necessary, a member of the Board of Trustees is authorized to enforce pool and safety rules and to verbally order rules violators or unauthorized personnel off of Landings Racquet & Swim Club property. (To verify the identity of a Trustee, go to the homepage and click on the “Board of Trustees” link. Then click on a Trustee’s name and a digital credential with a photo will appear.) Technicians will still arrive to close the pool shortly after 8 p.m. During an emergency, call 911. The address of The Landings pool is 425 Avon Belden Road in Avon Lake. (Stay on the line until emergency services people arrive on scene.)

A picnic table has been added to the toddler pool area so parents with small kids have a table to sit at as well. A broom and pan are available at the main area entrance to clean up if necessary. A hose can also extend to the table if the area needs to be sprayed down. Clean up the area when departing.

Landings Way by Condo Associations 1 thru 4 is opened back up.

On Sunday night, August 2nd, this man was seen sleeping on the picnic table on the back clubhouse patio. He is most likely a vagrant passing through the area who stopped to rest and get out of the rain. However, he moved on to to Sheffield Lake and acted in a suspicious manner around people's properties. He apparently was arrested there for his actions. If he is released, be on the lookout and call police if he returns to The Landings neighborhood.

The traffic flow plan by Landings Condo Associations 1, 2, 3, and 4 remains in effect. Landings Way in this area is NOT TRAVERSABLE until the contractors remove the orange cones from around the affected area. Condo residents should drive in and drive out of their condo parking areas in accordance the traffic flow plan posted below (HOA residents should avoid Landings Way unless visiting someone):

The pool will open one hour later today, Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to allow for deeper pool cleaning. The pool will open at 1:00 pm today.

Concrete work on Landings Way between Condo Associations 1, 2, 3, and 4 is expected to begin during the last week of July, weather permitting. While the affected area is blocked off, no one will be able to drive completely through Landings Way. Residents should plan accordingly as they will only be able to enter and exit Landings Way from the side their association is on. See the attached traffic flow plan.

Landings Way will be blocked at the site of the work from both directions.

Residents from Condo Associations 1 and 2 should enter and exit Landings Way from the Route 83 only.

Residents from Condo Associations 3 and 4 should enter and exit Landings Way from Woodstock Ave only.

HOA residents should not enter Landings Way until the affected area is opened back up.

There will be a 2-hour delay opening the pool today, Saturday July 18, 2026, due to the poor air quality of the last two days impacting the quality of the pool water. The pool is anticipated to open at 2:00 pm.
