🚨EMT of the Year🚨
Please join us in congratulating EMT Tyler Henderson, our EMT of the Year!
Prior to joining the Sheriff’s Office, EMT Henderson volunteered with DBEMS, beginning a journey in EMS that has grown into a career centered around service, teamwork, and supporting others. One of the things he values most about working here is the vast area we cover. From the city streets to the hill towns, every day brings something different and provides new opportunities to learn and grow as a provider.
One of EMT Henderson’s most rewarding accomplishments has been serving on the Peer Team across three divisions within the Sheriff’s Office. He has become an incredible asset to our growing peer support program, always willing to help his coworkers through difficult situations or lend a hand to new hires learning the job, even if it’s something as simple as teaching them how to read a map. No matter the circumstance, he goes the extra mile without hesitation and is always there when someone needs support.
EMT Henderson shared that EMS was never something he originally planned on doing, but it became a calling where he could help others in any way he could. That dedication, compassion, and willingness to serve both the public and his coworkers are exactly what make him so deserving of this recognition.
Congratulations, EMT Henderson, and thank you for the positive impact you make every single day.
