Chapter and Empire State Eagle Scout Committee Chairman Donald C***s attended and presented Eagle Scout Brayden S. (16) of Scouting America Troop 2752- Hillsdale, NY a Certificate of Recognition at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

Brayden’s Eagle Project was the construction of a bird blind at the Mud Creek Conservation Area in West Ghent, NY.

Tonight we wrapped up a successful summer camp season with our annual staff banquet, where we presented the 2026 John E. Tutein Distinguished Staffer Awards.

Congratulations to Aquatics Instructor Ellie D., Range & Target Activities Director Bill C., and Aquatics Co-Director Sean Y.! Thank you for your leadership, teamwork, and outstanding service to the Scouts!

All of us at Rotary Scout Reservation join with our friends in the Castleton community and beyond in mourning the loss of Regina Maier.

Regina's service to Scouting, in partnership with her loving husband Kurt and their children, was just one of the many ways that she brought joy and support to children and their families.

She leaves behind an indelible legacy of grace and leadership. Our deepest sympathies go out to all who were touched by her presence.

🚨Important Update regarding Cub Scout Resident Camp Session 2

Rensselaer County has declared a State of Emergency and urged motorists to avoid all non-essential travel. We know that many of our units are coming from communities that have been hit hard by flooding.

As a result we have made the decision to delay the start of Cub Scout Resident Camp Session 2.

We plan to open at 9:00 AM tomorrow for check in but will monitor conditions to determine if additional changes are necessary.

Camp itself is in good condition and will be ready to welcome you and your Scouts, however, we urge you to stay safe and off the roads today. We will follow up with a phone call to each unit contact to ensure that everyone has received this message and will send out additional messages as updates become available.

All of our little Mad Scientists are having a great time at Cub Scout day camp this week! Scouts are enjoying bouldering, BB guns, archery, water activities, conservation projects, and so much more, including making their own ice cream and tie dye bandanas!
