Sand Lake’s Memorial Day Parade And Ceremony Is Getting Organized And Invites You To Join

Join us for the 2026 Sand Lake Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony. To attract more participation and attendance this year, we encourage all interested civic organizations, businesses, churches, community and youth groups and individuals to participate in this year’s parade.

This year’s Sand Lake Memorial Day Parade will be Monday, May 25, at 10:00 am. The Parade route is from Averill Ave. in Westfall Village to the Sand Lake Veteran’s Memorial Park on NYS Route 43. The ceremony will begin at about 10:30 in Veterans Park.

Come and honor “Those Common Men And Women Who Proudly Served Our Country With Uncommon Valor.

VETERANS OF SAND LAKE CHICKEN BBQ
The Veterans of Sand Lake in Averill Park will be holding their Chicken BBQ tomorrow, Saturday, April 18th. You can call the Post at (518) 674-2309 to pre-order chicken halves or a complete dinner (chicken half, baked potato, coleslaw, and a cookie) from 8:00 a.m. the day of the BBQ. The price of a half chicken is $10.00, and a full dinner is $16.00. Pick up your order between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The next Chicken BBQ will be on June 20th.
