Two days ago we celebrated an incredible milestone for Christopher — graduating with his Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music 🎓🎺

This achievement represents so much more than a degree. It’s years of perseverance, determination, and pushing forward through challenges that were anything but easy. Living with cystic fibrosis has never defined Christopher, but his strength and resilience through every obstacle have inspired everyone around him.

As a trumpet player, every breath matters — and watching him turn breath into music has been nothing short of extraordinary. We are endlessly proud of the musician, advocate, and person he has become.

Congratulations, Christopher! Your CF family is cheering you on every step of the way. 💜

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you all well. As many of you know, cystic fibrosis has been a part of my story since I was a child - and because of your support over the years, that story continues to be filled with hope.

Since starting Trikafta in 2019, my health has improved in ways I never could have imagined growing up. I feel stronger, healthier, and more able to pursue my passions - especially music. It’s something I don’t take for granted, and it’s a direct result of the progress that has been made in CF research and treatment.

But while my journey has changed for the better, there is still so much work to be done. Not everyone has access to these life-changing therapies, and a cure is still the ultimate goal.

That’s why I am so excited to invite you to our 2nd Annual Jam for a Cure - a special afternoon of live music with my band, Camping on the Moon, raffles, and community - all in support of continuing this mission.

I’d truly LOVE to see you there! Your support means everything to me and my family.

I’m here at Great Strides, Gainsville about to walk on my daughter’s team, Chomp CF! Please help Frankie reach her goal! We walk for her brother, Christopher, and for ALL those living with and fighting this terrible disease every day. CF never takes a day off…not even for football! We are thrilled to welcome returning Cane, Chris Ricardo, who will begin the M.M. Certification program in music education at Frost this fall. He completed his undergraduate studies in Jazz Trumpet Performance at Frost and proudly marched with the Frost Band of the Hour, where he served as trumpet section leader. He was awarded the band Rookie of the Year award as a junior and MVP as a senior. He will serve as a teaching assistant with the marching band while he completes his degree. Chris says "I've been in love with music since I was 9 years old and knew that teaching music was something I wanted to do once I got to high school. Whenever you make and spread the joy of music, you make the world a better place and that's the ultimate goal." Join us in welcoming Chris to the music education graduate program!
