We were thrilled to welcome back our alumni camper, Simon Bonenfant, to the 2026 Barefoot Ball. After spending three summers at the Diller Home and receiving our inaugural scholarship award in 2022, we were reunited with Simon, this time as a talented professional singer and passionate advocate for accessibility.

Even though he has been blind from birth, he has never experienced a lack of vision for his future. His voice, his advocacy, and his determination to challenge perceptions continue to inspire everyone around him.
And what a gift it was to hear Simon beautifully sing “Fly Me to the Moon” during the event. 🌙

For more than 50 years, the Diller Home has provided free summer camp experiences for children and young adults who are blind or visually impaired creating a place where campers build confidence, make lifelong friendships, try new things, and make memories that last a lifetime. ☀️🌊
