The text4FATHER Study through Johns Hopkins University is designed to support first-time fathers during pregnancy and early infancy through simple, encouraging text messages.
What participants receive:
• Twice-weekly text messages
• Tips for infant care
• Support for partner relationships
• Resources focused on dad well-being
• Short videos and infographics
Timeline:
Messages begin during mid-pregnancy (before 25 weeks) and continue until baby is 2 months old.
Compensation:
• Moms may earn up to $140
• Dads may earn up to $240
Who can participate:
• First-time fathers-to-be
• Age 18 or older
• Living in the U.S. and fluent in English
• Able to receive and respond to text messages
• Partner must be less than 25 weeks pregnant at enrollment

• Led by Dr. Arik V. Marcell, MD, MPH
• Clinical Trials ID: NCT06289101
• Currently recruiting nationwide

Join us! March 21st at Bryant Creek State Park for a Spring Break Hike!

Good Dads will be leading a hike at Bryant Creek State Park (South of Ava). We will meet at the trail head at noon for a brief information and safety talk, then head down the Pike Hollow Trail. This trail is about 2 miles and will take about 2.5 hours to complete at a leisurely pace.

Please bring:
- Snacks & Water
- Sunscreen
- Good shoes

There will be no cell service on the trail, and the trail has steep sections.
