TUESDAY — THE POWER & CONTROL WHEEL

🎭💜 TUESDAY: NOT ALL ABUSE LEAVES A BRUISE

One of the most important things we can do in the fight against domestic violence is learn what abuse actually looks like.

The Power & Control Wheel reminds us that abuse can include:

🔹 Emotional abuse
🔹 Economic abuse
🔹 Isolation
🔹 Threats
🔹 Intimidation
🔹 Using children as leverage
🔹 Minimizing or denying the abuse
🔹 Using privilege to maintain control

Sometimes the person causing harm never has to lay a hand on their victim to create fear and control.

💜 Knowledge can be the first step toward recognizing abuse.

Sweet Pea House Farms is working to create a place where survivors can step away from control and begin rebuilding their lives.
