True Brew Coffee Shop - Bread of Life Giving & Sharing We are operating through the True Brew Coffee Shop in Ava, Missouri. Staffed 100% by volunteers, our Wintertime coats are especially appreciated.

In Douglas County, Missouri 35% of children are living in poverty. 27% of Douglas County children food insecurity, which is more than twice the national average (source: MissouriKidsCount)

We provide meals and other assistance to Douglas County residents who are in need, especially the most helpless among us. Entirely staffed by volunteers, our meals are available to anyone in need at no charge

or for a donation. Those who can afford to pay help to finance meals for those who cannot. Because we are staffed by volunteers, we don't take tips but you have the option to purchase a meal ticket for a child. We also take clothing donations at our Thrift Store, and clothing is provided for people in need at no charge.
