Members of the Ava Lions Club do many things in their local community to help citizens in need. Some of the projects which members have done for their community include the following:
Provide Eyeglass Assistance
Recycle Used Eyeglasses
Support Missouri Lions Project "Kidsight"
Provide Funds to Leader Dog
Support Missouri Lions All

-Star Basketball
Provide local eye screening for Elementary School students
Support Mid-South Sight Restoration Services' Local Community Service projects
Ava Halloween Costume Contest
High School Backpack Food Program
Support "Send A Kid To Camp"
Annual scholarships
Support the Ava Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ava; Wrote grant for and supervised landscaping for around Welcome to Ava Sign as well as participation in Local Business Appreciation Day on the Ava Square
