Hiring: Part-Time Personal Care Attendant (Ava, MO)
Pay: $25–$27/hour
Schedule: 3 days per week with a split schedule and the potential for additional hours.
About the Role
Seeking a dependable, compassionate, and patient Personal Care Attendant to support my adult son with special needs. This position primarily involves transportation to and from his day program in Springfield, as well as providing supervision and community engagement after his program. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, is reliable, and is committed to promoting independence and a positive quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
• Transportation: Drive my son safely from Ava to his day program in Springfield three mornings each week and pick him up in the afternoon.
• Community Engagement: Spend time with him after pickup by participating in community activities, outings, walks, or other enjoyable experiences before bringing him home.
• Support & Supervision: Provide companionship, encouragement, and ensure his safety while in the community.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with our family regarding schedules, appointments, and any concerns.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license with a dependable, insured vehicle and a clean driving record.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right person.
• Patient, dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy.
• Must pass a background check, complete required Abuse & Neglect training.
