Sunday at The Church this week starts with Prayer at 10 AM, followed by Sunday School at 10:10 AM. Worship service starts at 11 AM and will be followed by our business meeting. When all that is done we will spend time in worship of our God and King! Their will be no PM service this week.

Day 11 - Association Emphasis Month

Today, we are praying for our Annual Meeting on October 4th, at Centennial Baptist Church in Mexico. Our annual gathering is a time of celebration to what God has done through the local church. Yes, there are parts of the meeting that are business like with the ratification of the budget and voting on new leaders for committees and teams, but there is also a time of worship, a sermon, and reports of praise.

Like the Executive Board Meetings, each member church is allowed a number of messengers. This again is a responsibility of the church to send these messengers to the meeting as their churches voices and votes.

Please lift up our Annual Meeting coming this fall. Make plans to attend. Lastly pray for the work that goes in to planning, preparing the documents, and producing this event.

Day 10 - Association Emphasis Month

On this day, we are lifting up our Executive Board - its members and their work. Each member church has the responsibility to send 3 members, one automatically being the pastor, as their representatives to these quarterly meetings. The work of the EB is crucial to the organizational structure of an association. It exists to conduct the business of the Association between the Annual Meetings. At these fellowships, churches hear about the work of the association through our REACH teams, the vision and strategy of the leadership, and reports of how God is working among our churches. Everyone is invited to attend the gatherings.

Please also pray for our meetings to be well represented by our churches. If you and your church have not attended an EB meeting in a while, please make plans to be at our next one on Thursday, August 27th, at Richland Bapist Church starting at 7pm.

Day 9 - Association Emphasis Month

Today, we are praying for the four Officers of HMBA.

Ron Forbis serves as our President and resides over meetings, leads the Leadership Council, and much more.

Ted Middleton is the Vice President and serves as a right hand to Ron and steps in when the President is not available.

James Talley is the new Secretary for the assocaition. This role keeps records and communicates to the churches about meetings and organizational work.

Lastly, Loren Plank is our Treasurer. He oversees the intake of funds, pays the bills, and offers insightes to how we are stewarding the monies intrusted to HMBA.

Please pray for these leaders as they lead the day to day operations of the association.
