There is a 2025 Retreat coming up this Fall. September 12, 13, 14. We will begin with a session Friday evening, two sessions on Saturday, and two more sessions on Sunday. All sessions feature new techniques (at lease new to some of our members). Handling Greenware cleaning and painting; Sgraffito, Mishima, and water etching; texturing animals with Snowfall and Granite Stone; Underglaze Transfers; marbelizing; Script and Crackle; Glaze layering with Cascade; stained glass technique with writer bottles; brushstrokes and sponge-its with Dru. Prices and other details to come. You can either come to the Carol's Carousel Creations studio in Austintown OR you can join us online. So be sure to Save the Date.

MVCT SALE
We are having a sale of dinner plates that were painted for Convention several years ago. Our display was reminiscent of the Museum of Ceramics in East Liverpool, Ohio. We are asking for a donation of $5-$10 per plate to help recover the cost of making them. Please respond with description of plate(s) you want and send your email for billing and your address for shipping. Buyer pays shipping or you can pick them up from one of our members. BUCKEYE CERAMICS HAS CLOSED.
First, they bought OCS, then closed OCS but had delivery for a year, then completely closed OCS so we had to order from Columbus (Hilliard). Now that store is closed as well.

My concern was who is making Mayco and Duncan products? I was informed that Mayco closed their store so that they could use the additional space for manufacturing. Right now, I don't see the list of distributors we can buy from. If anyone has this list, please post it here or PM or email me. Thanks, Carol

MAYCO is having a Fundamentals Product workshop on Wednesday, January 19th at 11:00 EST. You need to register to get the link but there is no cost. David Hoff is teaching a lemons project.

Ohio Ceramic Supply is closing its doors effective November 5th. Received a letter this morning but it won't forward and now I can't find it. I did print one and took a picture but it is too fuzzy to post. Would like to hear from other studios what they plan to do. Hope that my slip and mold orders come in before then.
