Congratulations to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration for a successful launch! This event serves as a great reminder that space exploration is also a story of chemistry.

Beyond propellants, the hashtag helps produce coatings, sealants, insulation, plastics, batteries, and water purification systems that make missions like Artemis possible. These products help protect spacecraft, support astronauts, and keep critical systems running in extreme conditions.

From launch to life on board, chemistry is built into nearly every part of the mission.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the Texas Chemistry Alliance's inaugural Co****le Tournament in Seabrook. We had an amazing time and loved seeing everyone come together for a little competition and a lot of fun.

Chemistry is all around us, even when we do not stop to think about it. ⚗️

From the phones in our hands to the products we use to get ready in the morning, chemistry transforms molecules to the must-have, everyday products that make modern life possible.

That was the message Texas Chemistry Council Chair Loris Canahuati shared with nearly 150 students at the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce's Gulf Coast Chemistry Day last week.

What a great day at Gulf Coast Chemistry Day with the @ Deer Park Chamber of Commerce!

The Texas Chemistry Council team had a fantastic time connecting with local students and sharing how chemistry plays a role in their everyday lives. From great conversations to hands-on engagement at the TCC booth, it was exciting to see students curious, involved, and eager to learn more about the Business of Chemistry.

A big thank you to TCC Chair Loris Canahuati of Braskem for her remarks, and to our volunteers from Texas Brine Company, LLC, and Covestro for helping make the day such a success through student engagement and managing our trivia challenge.

We loved being part of this event and helping spark interest in the many opportunities connected to chemistry.

Behind every chemical facility is a team of talented engineers driving performance and safety.

Engineering doesn’t just shape our world. It shapes our opportunities, our communities, and the futures we can imagine for ourselves and our children.

Chemical, mechanical, electrical, environmental, civil, and industrial engineers each play a critical role in designing systems, strengthening infrastructure, improving operations, and supporting compliance.

The Texas Chemistry Council thanks the engineers who help keep our industry safe, our operations reliable, and ensure the production of essential materials and products that support everyday life across Texas.

Today, we recognize Texas Independence Day and the spirit of innovation, resilience, and determination that continues to define our state.

That same spirit drives the Texas chemical manufacturing industry, which plays a critical role in supporting jobs, powering our economy, and enabling the products and technologies Texans rely on every day.

From advanced manufacturing and energy production to water treatment, healthcare, and infrastructure, the business of chemistry helps position Texas as a global leader in industry and innovation.

As we celebrate Texas’ independence, we also recognize the workforce and industries that help keep our state strong, competitive, and growing.

Happy Texas Independence Day.
