🏗️ TFLD Recreational Complex Construction Update!
Hi Neighbors! We have an exciting look at the progress made this week on our recreational facilities, along with a sneak peek at what the crew will be tackling next week.

Here is where everything stands as of Friday, September 4, 2026:

🏠 Community Center
• This Week: Materials were delivered to the site, layouts were finalized, and framing on the walls has officially begun! Concrete teams also successfully completed the structural base for the new equipment shed.
• Next Week: Framing will wrap up completely for the main building. Concrete teams will be back to pour the equipment shed pad and handle re-pouring updates at the back patio. Masonry work (CMU blocks) will also start up for the equipment shed once the concrete sets.

🏊 Swimming Pool & Equipment Shed
• This Week: Underground plumbing and electrical installations moved forward smoothly. The engineer has officially passed our inspections, and we are currently pending final city review.
• Next Week: Get ready for a major milestone—crews are scheduled to shoot the gunite structure for the pool and wrap up the underground plumbing connections at the equipment shed.

🎾 Tennis & Pickleball Courts
• This Week: Fence installation around the perimeter of the courts has officially commenced. Additionally, Austin Energy completed their onsite Civil Pre-Construction walk to coordinate permanent power to the facility.
• Next Week: The fencing work will be finalized, and the structural headers for the facility gates will be installed. Electrical teams will also begin pulling conduit and mounting the boxes for our brand-new court lighting system.

Everything is moving along to bring these 40-year-old facilities into a beautiful new era for Tanglewood Forest. Thank you for your continued patience as we build a better space for all of our families to enjoy!

Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, September 9

The Tanglewood Forest Limited District Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Westoak Woods Baptist Church, 2900 W. Slaughter Ln, Portable Building #3.

Items on the agenda include:

- Consideration of the 2026–2027 District budget
- Discussion and consideration of the proposed 2026 tax rate and related public hearing notices
- Discussion and consideration of action on the November 3, 2026 Director Election
- Review and possible action regarding the “Fees of Office” section of the District’s Code of Ethics

Residents wishing to speak may register during the 15 minutes before the meeting. Public comment is also available on individual agenda items according to the procedures outlined in the posted agenda.

UPDATED FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE TANGLEWOOD FOREST LIMITED DISTRICT TENNIS / PICKLEBALL COURTS:

The new tennis and pickleball courts are scheduled to open before year-end 2026!

Following is the updated fee schedule approved by The Tanglewood Forest Limited District Board of Directors:

Annual Court Passes
Tanglewood Forest Residents: Lowered to $30 for an annual pass*
Non-Residents of Tanglewood Forest: Increased to $180 for an annual pass*

Commercial Use
Commercial use of the courts must be pre-approved by the Tanglewood Forest Limited District Board and coordinated through the District’s Manager.
Commercial Use Fee: $50 per hour
Commercial use is subject to District approval and scheduling requirements.
Commercial users who abuse these rules or violate the District’s requirements will have their court-use privileges revoked.

Please check back for additional information regarding court availability, registration, and rules of use as the opening date approaches.

* If your tennis membership was placed on hold due to construction, it will be re-activated, and you will receive PRO-RATED time to account for the closure period.

📢 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING: 2026/27 BUDGET FINALIZATION

The Tanglewood Forest Limited District Board of Directors has called a Special Meeting to finalize the upcoming 2026/27 fiscal year budget.

(The District’s fiscal year runs October 1st – September 30th.)

All District Residents are invited to attend.

🦆 LINDSHIRE DUCK POND UPDATE! 🦆
At last night's Tanglewood Forest Limited District Board of Directors Meeting, the Board approved:
✅ The Purchase Of A New Pump: The pump is being ordered today and will take 3 – 5 days to arrive.
✅ Installation: Labor costs to install the new pump were authorized.
✅ Extra Pond Cleaning: An additional cleaning is scheduled to improve water quality.
✅ Water Level Boost: We are adding water to increase the pond's depth by 2 1/2 feet.

These upgrades will restore the fountain, improve the pond's health, and create a better environment for our neighborhood wildlife.

Thank you to the Board and the community for making this happen!

☀️ WHEN THE SUN AROSE THIS MORNING …… Tanglewood Forest had begun pouring the foundation for the new Community Center!

This new building is going to be a wonderful hub for our neighborhood. The versatile meeting room is designed to host:
• 56 people with tables & chairs for seated dining or workshops
• 120 people seated for presentations and meetings
• 168 people for standing receptions
• Plus, the facility will have beautiful, brand-new restrooms and showers!

We can’t wait to gather here with all of you. Stay tuned for more construction updates as our new space comes to life! ✨

TFLD RECREATIONAL COMPLEX CONSTRUCTON UPDATES:

COMMUNITY CENTER: The City of Austin pre-construction inspection was completed earlier this week. Drain extensions, under slab plumbing, and caps for topping slabs were also completed this week. Lots of works is scheduled for next week ----- but the most exciting (and visible) will be the new slab pour!

POOL: Underground plumbing is complete, skimmers have been placed, and we are awaiting steel deliveries! Steel installation is scheduled for next week!

TENNIS COURTS: The slab was poured 8/12/26 and forms are being removed today. Cable final stressing is scheduled for this afternoon. Fencing installation is scheduled for next week!
