Why is there a runoff? Because neither George nor Susanna got enough votes to win the election. Not even with hundreds of endorsements George Morales received and with over $200,000 of contributions, he still didn't get 50% of the votes. I'm incredibly thankful to everyone who supported this campaign, volunteered their time, and showed up to vote. Although we did not move forward to the runoff, I'm proud of the work we did and the conversations we started.
Congratulations to the candidates advancing, and thank you to our community for participating in the process. I look forward to continuing to stay engaged and support the issues that matter most to our community.

We need to motivate to go out and vote! We need volunteers. see if you are available to help or find some people who can "Volunteer" to help. All you need to do is hold a sign and say Come and Vote. You will need a chair to sit. For safety, I would like two people at each site. Try to bring someone with you.
Beginning on Tuesday, February 24, 25, 26, 27th & March 3rd, we need volunteers at the locations and hours below. Just call me to let me know what time and location you can work so I can get you a sign.

I will need someone to coordinate snacks and drinks distribution. Please invite anyone that needs community service hours too.

Times: 7am-8:30am,; 11:30am-1pm , 2:30pm-3:30pm, 4:30pm-5:30pm. From Friday 2/23-2/27 and March 3. We can help you find a polling place in SE Austin, South Austin or East Austin. Send me your contact information at [email protected]
