Last month, your GAHCC joined the inaugural meeting of the Central Texas Alliance, the first cross-sector coalition built to convene, research and advocate for the Austin - San Antonio Megaregion, one of the fastest-growing megaregions in the nation.

We heard Co-chairs Gary Farmer and Jenna Saucedo-Herrera, their vision for the Central Texas Alliance, as well as panel discussions on Regionalism, Regional Leadership and participated on a workshop on shared priorities.

The GAHCC is proud to join the Central Texas Alliance to have a unified voice to address the challenges of our megaregion, where over 5 million residents work and live.

What an incredible HAL Kickoff!

Last month, we officially kicked off another transformative year of our Hispanic Austin Leadership (HAL) program!

HAL is a nine-month immersive experience designed to empower local business leaders and professionals with the civic awareness, skills, and lifelong network needed to drive meaningful change across Central Texas.

Our new cohort gathered at Austin Energy Headquarters for Orientation. The day was packed with powerful insights, including a keynote address from Geronimo Rodriguez (Vice Chair, St. Edward’s University Board of Trustees), a leadership session led by Maryanne Piña, an "Austin By the Numbers" demographic breakdown by Lila Valencia, and team assignments to set the foundation for their community impact projects.

Thank you to our speakers, facilitators, and incoming class for making kickoff weekend a resounding success!
