And it’s a wrap! It was absolutely gorgeous for our spring volunteer day ☀️Our park community showed up to give the heritage oak trees some TLC. All the fresh mulch will help them get through the tough summer ahead. Thank you to everyone who came to work hard, to for the tools and mulch, and especially to Karen L for organizing!

Join Friends of Patterson Park for a Neighborhood Volunteer Day on this beautiful Saturday, 9-11am!

We'll spend the morning spreading mulch along the Schieffer Ave walking path between the baseball field and the Airport Blvd. Austin Parks Foundation will provide a big pile of mulch and the tools we'll need. If you have your own shovel, metal rake, and/or wheelbarrow, bring them. Please also bring your own water bottle, gloves, and sunscreen, and wear work-appropriate clothing.

All ages are welcome and everyone can help out. We'll meet at the park entrance on Schieffer Ave at Brookview Rd and get started right at 9 am. We'll have coffee, water, and snacks to keep you going.

will be hosting the next Playdate in the Park next Wednesday at Patterson from 10AM - 11:30AM with special story-time guest, author Steena Hernandez, who will be reading her book Lupita’s Brown Ballet Slippers.

They will be handing out copies of the book. There’ll be a storytime, Music & Movement with Creative Action, and it should be a fun time all around! They will also have some new swag items as well as snacks/waters that will all be free. Hope to see you there!

Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, we are rescheduling The Patterson Park Egg Hunt to Sunday, April 5th at 3pm.

The community potluck will still be served immediately following the Egg Hunts. Please feel free to bring a fun dish, or treat to share!

We understand this may create an inconvenience with your Easter plans, but please still come help us make this event a success.

If you have signed up to volunteer, please arrive at 1:30pm to help us hide eggs.
All volunteers are greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Calling all EGG STUFFERS 📣📣
It's time to prepare for the 2026 Patterson Park Egg Hunt!

The Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 4th at 10am SHARP, and will be followed by a potluck brunch.

In preparation for the big day, we need help stuffing over 3,000 eggs!
Can you please help us?

Our great neighbor, Barry Massey has prepared bags of 100 eggs + toys and candy for people to pick up at his house (behind the baseball diamond) and stuff at home.

Please help us by volunteering to pick up a few bags to stuff. Supplies are ready for pickup now!
