🇺🇸 Never Quit. Never Forget. Honoring Our POWs and MIAs.
Today, I had the honor of participating in the Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars District 28 POW/MIA Recognition Day Commemoration in Austin, Texas, serving in my role as District 28 Chaplain.
As veterans, we understand that our commitment to one another does not end when our military service concludes. It continues through remembrance, service, and our unwavering responsibility to honor those who never made it home.
National POW/MIA Recognition Day is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by our Prisoners of War, those still Missing in Action, and the families who continue to carry the weight of their absence.
Standing alongside fellow veterans, families, and members of our community today reinforced why organizations like the Veterans of Foreign Wars remain so important. We are not simply preserving history; we are carrying forward a promise that no service member will ever be forgotten.
Thank you to Texas VFW District 28, Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home & Cemetery, and everyone who participated in honoring these American heroes.
To those who returned, we honor your sacrifice. To those still missing, we will never stop remembering. To the families who continue to wait, you are not forgotten.
Thank you Commanders King and Walden for your remarks. Thank you to the Del Valle JROTC cadets for reading the names. Thank you to all the posts involved in today’s ceremony and those who continue to serve the mission. Thank you to Kristen Gibbs, the Austin Harpist, for your amazing playing and voice accompaniment.
🇺🇸 Never Quit. Never Forget.
