We took the beating heart of Hyde Park’s historic 1950s Baker School and gave it an absolute glow-up. 

Think soaring ceilings, beautiful art-moderne lines, and a massive stage…minus the pop quizzes.

For the next three months, this usually-locked creative vault is open for your weddings, adult proms, and weirdly brilliant brand activations.

July through September only.

Bring your own tater tots if you must, but leave the bad memories at the door.

The Press Room is a fully working letterpress shop packed with sixty thousand vintage cinema ad blocks that were hidden away for decades and rediscovered in 2015.

Here’s how it works for your event:

Design a custom poster ahead of time (your wedding date, brand launch logo, or event motto).

During the party, your guests wander in with a drink...

Under expert guidance, they pull their own print on a real vintage press.

They leave with a literal piece of art, wet ink and all.

It's tactile, interactive, and completely unforgettable. 

But remember, the press stops running for the public after September!

There is something behind the building, past the door most people miss...

A koi pond, string lights, two shade trees doing their thing.
We call it the Secret Garden.
Fits about 50 people.
Best uses we've seen so far: cocktail hour.
A micro wedding.
A dinner small enough that everyone knows each other's names. A photo shoot in golden hour.

There's a building in Hyde Park you've probably driven past a hundred times without thinking twice...The Baker School.

Well, it used to be a school. Got a quiet little restoration!

Now it houses some of the most awesome creatives in Austin and has one of the prettiest event spaces in the city called the ...and almost nobody can get in.

Well, almost no one.

For only three months we're cracking the side door for the public. Normally this space is reserved for the tenets we are now opening to you, the public!

July through September.

Weddings, parties, photoshoots, whatever you can imagine and those weird ideas you've been sitting on...we want them! Bring them over to the Cafetorium

Once September gets here, the door shuts and we go back to being a rumor.

So if you've been waiting for a sign, here it is, blinking right at you!

Most days this place is locked up tight.

Private events only, just for the tenants and their guests.
But get ready!
For the next three months the door is open....to you!

July through September it's wide open.

After that we go back to being a cool, quiet Hyde Park secret.
