Blueprint is built for builders. 🛠️

We are thrilled to scale this program statewide in 2026 by offering our sessions virtually and in Spanish closed caption. Our 4-month program kicks off on June 25 to offer a readiness pathway for the trades that keep Texas moving. 90 minutes per month for 4 months can make all the difference.

Powered by JE Dunn Construction and Delta Air Lines, this program connects you with primes, public agencies, and the decision-makers who award contracts as you strengthen your business and prepare for your next chapter. Together, we’ll tackle the fundamentals of relationship building before bidding, hiring talent, cash flow, licensing and insurance, and more.

Complete the program for a chance to win a $500 travel voucher courtesy of Delta Air Lines.

Small business owners are the reason behind our mission.

Last week, JPMorganChase gave the Foundation for Better Business a seat at the table with some of the most driven entrepreneurs in our community. We got to meet the people behind the businesses that participate in their Coaching for Impact program, share our mission, and be reminded of exactly who we serve across Texas.

That is a gift. So is a partner like JPMorganChase who understands that showing up for small business is more than a strategy, it is a commitment.

9 days out until our next She Means Business event and we are ready to tackle burnout.

One of our panelists said it best: “There are proven neurological benefits of being together in a room, collectively pausing and reflecting, then sharing a big exhale. It's called interpersonal neural synchrony and it feels very reassuring and relieving.” - Ellen Lindsey, LCSW, of 360 Coaching

This is the conversation every woman leader needs right now.

Keynote Jessica Lovell of Raevolution Speaking talks about “The Endurance Trap”.

Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette of Waterloo Greenway Conservancy in a fireside chat.

A Power of Better Business panel powered by the Austin Business Journal featuring Ellen Lindsey of 360 Coaching, Kathy Kuras of Greater Austin YMCA, and Dr. Barbara Breier of Vistage Worldwide, Inc..

Plus, all attendees earn a chance to win a $500 Delta Air Lines travel voucher and a YMCA membership!

41% of Texas small businesses are not using AI at all. The cost of waiting is compounding daily. 🤖

Our 2026 Resilience Survey makes the gap impossible to ignore. 45.5% of Texas small businesses use AI in some form. 41% use none. The Foundation is committed to closing that gap, and we are doing it with the help of the people building the future of tech in Austin.

Our trustee Hugh Forrest is supporting how AI shows up across Foundation programming, making sure Texas small businesses gain real ground with these tools. Foundation supporter Jan Ryan continues to champion this work and the ecosystem behind it. Both were recently inducted into the Austin Tech Hall of Fame, and we could not think of two more deserving leaders.

Shoutout to Austin Technology Council, one of our community resource partners and a steady force connecting Texas entrepreneurs to the technology, talent, and thinking that move them forward. This is what ecosystem looks like when it works.

Big thanks to our Community Resource Partner, Austin Technology Council for including us.

Austin Woman Magazine just named one of our own an "I Am Austin Woman." We are not surprised. 🌟

Huge congratulations to our trustee and dynamic volunteer faculty member, Kathleen Lucente of Red Fan Communications, on her recent "I Am Austin Woman" honor from Austin Woman Magazine. Kathleen brings vision, fire, and a fierce commitment to women in business to every room she enters, including ours. It was an honor to celebrate the evening alongside Bethany Leffingwell, MPA, Jessica Pelache, and friends from Frost and J.P. Morgan. Recognition like this matters. Leaders like Kathleen matter more.

367 Texas business leaders told us what is shaping their 2026. The data is now on the record. 📊

When Texas business leaders need real data on what is actually happening in the small business economy, the Foundation for Better Business is where that data lives. The 2026 Texas Small Business Outlook and Resilience Survey, powered by title sponsor JPMorganChase, captures the voice of 367 BBB Accredited Businesses across Texas. The headlines:

📈 52% report stronger conditions than a year ago
🚀 68% expect revenue growth in the next 12 months
⚠️ Only 18.5% say nothing is constraining their growth
🤖 41% are not using AI at all

Head to our Economic Resilience page to download the full Survey report and read the Austin Business Journal feature article with Mayor Kirk Watson, Haynes Dallas of Managed Facility Solutions, Kirsten Cessna of Gensler, and Stacy Rose, CPCU, CSP of Texas Mutual Insurance Company, moderated by Lana Macrum of JPMorgan Chase. This is what real Texas small business data looks like, and this is where you find it: https://bit.ly/4wtRY5R

The leadership advice you have been getting is keeping you stuck.

Consider this your permission slip.

To close the laptop. To leave the inbox. To stop working IN your business for one day so you can finally work ON it.

The Ignite Small Business Growth Summit powered by Comerica Bank is tomorrow, May 7. We built it for the operators, the founders, the doers who never give themselves permission to step back and look at the bigger picture.

One room. One day. Real strategies you can put to work. Connections that outlast the day. Clarity on the next move.

You've earned this day. Take it.
