Today’s is Austin Lunney, MD. He is a member of TMA Leadership College Class of 2026 and Big Country County Medical Society.
In his free time, Dr. Lunney enjoys spending time with his wife, Brenna, and their three sons, Grant, Cason, and Mac. He is also involved in his local church and enjoys barbecuing and grilling on the weekends to socialize and relax.

Why did you become a physician?
I became a physician because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Very few professions allow you to have such a tangible impact on others. I am honored to be in a profession where that’s possible, and am grateful to carry out the responsibilities of a physician.

What is the best professional advice you have received?
As a leader, never ask someone to do anything that you personally would not do yourself.
