Congratulations Ben! Best of luck at State!

Scout salute to our graduating seniors, Ben Fordham, William Wied, and Daniel Smith! Congratulations on all you have accomplished today. The future looks bright! Stay tuned for more shout-outs this month!

Ben Fordham:
Ben is graduating from Cedar Park High School, where he was a four-year member of the football team, wrestling team, and a member of Rho Kappa. He is a member of Troop 234 and earned his Eagle Scout in September 2025. He will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall.

William Wied:
William Wied, Eagle Scout (Class of 2023), now turns to his next chapter. This fall, he will attend the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. Building on leadership in Scouting, athletics, and community service, he plans to pursue business and law, continuing to lead with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to making a lasting impact.

Daniel Smith:
Daniel is graduating from high school with a 4.37 GPA. In addition, he has earned his associate degree in business (with high honors), was placed on the All-Texas collegiate academic team, was nominated to the All-USA collegiate academic team, and was awarded a $1300 Coca-Cola scholarship through Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society for being one of the top community college students in the state. He's headed to Texas A&M at College Station in the fall, majoring in business.

Spotted some ATX Troop 234 members volunteering for CureDuchenne at the Austin Marathon today! We also saw a Troop 234 alum running the race but he was too fast to get a picture 😁

A few pictures from Ben’s Eagle project today. The guys built a 20x14 shade structure over a portion of the garden at Austin Vineyard Church. The church utilizes the garden to supply fresh fruits and veggies for their monthly food pantry. With the added shade, they will be able to grow even more!
