We’re honored to announce John Quiñones as the keynote speaker for the 2026 Great Futures Gala! 🎉

A proud Texas native, former Club kid, and inductee into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame, John understands firsthand the lasting impact a Club can have on a young person’s life.

From his early days as a Club kid to his distinguished career as an award-winning journalist, John’s journey reflects the power of opportunity, encouragement, and perseverance to help young people realize their potential and pursue a Great Future.

As we celebrate The Champion Within at this year’s Gala, we look forward to hearing John’s inspiring story and reflecting on how we can help every Club kid discover their own potential.

🎉 We’re just one week away from the 2026 Great Futures Gala! 💙 We can’t wait to gather for an unforgettable evening celebrating Austin’s youth and the great futures ahead of them.

We’re honored to have Courtney & Zack Britton, Whitney & Jamaal Charles, and Brian Jones as this year’s gala hosts, helping make this a special night in support of Austin’s youth.

Together, they’ll help us celebrate The Champion Within and the Club kids who are discovering their strengths, pursuing their goals, and showing us what they’re capable of every day! 🏅

🌟 Meet Neveah! A Berkman Elementary Boys & Girls Club member, Neveah shared what Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month means to her and how her family celebrates at home. Her story is one example of the many voices and experiences that make our Club community special.

In her first year as a Club member, 4th grader Neveah is already finding ways to share her voice and step into leadership. As an elected Club Ambassador, she has guided officials on a campus tour and participated in special events like the Round Rock ISD ribbon-cutting. We can’t wait to see where her Club journey takes her as she continues to build confidence, embrace new experiences, and grow as a young leader.

By giving Club kids like Neveah opportunities to use their voices and lead, we’re helping the next generation see what’s possible for themselves. 💙

Safety is our number one priority at Boys & Girls Clubs, and during September’s , we’re celebrating the teams who work every day to help make our Clubs safe, welcoming places for young people.

Our staff recently came together to review preparedness efforts across our Clubs, recognize our Club Directors for their leadership and commitment to member safety, and receive emergency kits.

From thoughtful planning and safety procedures to well-maintained facilities and prepared teams, every detail matters. And it’s making a difference: 90% of Club members say they feel as safe or safer at the Club than at other places.

Because when young people feel safe and supported, they have the space to learn, grow, build friendships, and have fun. 💙

We’re grateful to our Mainsail partners and Board Member Gavin Turner for spending an afternoon at Boys & Girls Home Club on the Sheth Family Campus!

The team helped create more space for Club kids to play and connect, then joined our first-grade classroom for Power Hour, working alongside Club members on math skills and number sequences through an interactive learning activity.

This , we’re highlighting the opportunities and partnerships that connect young people with the skills, training, and education they need to thrive.

From summer internships through programs like Ladders for Leaders, Classroom Ready, and NextGen Academy to hands-on career exploration through our inaugural Heart of Texas Trades Day and a field trip to the Texas State Capitol and Foley & Lardner LLP, Club members have the opportunities to explore careers, build skills, gain real-world experience, and discover pathways to their great futures. 💙
