Elevation in Action: Navarro High Boys & Girls Club Director Jacob Hernandez elevates teen programming by raising expectations and expanding opportunities, designing every activity around academics, leadership, and social-emotional growth.

That commitment to elevation is reflected in teen feedback, with 100% of Navarro Club members reporting that adults at the Club believe in their success and encourage them to do their best.

We’re excited to welcome the first cohort of Hook ’Em Here Central Texas interns this week! 🤘💙

Through a partnership with The College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin, 15 undergraduate students will gain hands-on experience working with youth at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area this summer.

Before heading to their assigned Club sites, interns spent time learning from Club leaders, exploring the impact of youth development, and participating in a special session with CEO Zenae Campbell. These experiences helped set the stage for a summer of learning, leadership, and meaningful engagement with young people across the Austin area.

We’re proud to help prepare the next generation of educators and look forward to seeing the impact these interns will make in the lives of Club members throughout the summer. Let’s give them a warm BGCAA welcome!

From hands-on learning and creative activities to outdoor games, team-building challenges, and new friendships, nearly 900 Club kids across 12 sites kicked off Summer Camp with an exciting first week full of fun and discovery! ☀️💙

Throughout the week, campers jumped into new experiences, made new friends, and built confidence as they learned, played, and explored together.

And we’re just getting started! With themed weeks, field trips, special guests, and plenty more summer fun ahead, we can’t wait to see what’s next. ✨😎 See you next week!

Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs on making it to the NBA Finals! 🤩

Our Club members are especially excited to cheer on Harrison Barnes, a Club alum whose journey inspires our kids to dream big, work hard, and shoot for the championship. His support helped create a new basketball court at the Club where youth can play, grow, and build confidence in a safe space. 💙

From Club kid to NBA Finals, Harrison shows our young people what's possible when talent, determination, and opportunity come together.

Middle school is a new chapter, and Boys & Girls Club helps young people build the confidence and skills to take that next step with purpose. 💙

At Pioneer Crossing Elementary Boys & Girls Club, fifth-grade Club members celebrated their promotion to middle school surrounded by family, friends, and the people who have supported them along the way.

Through meaningful experiences at Club, members develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and social-emotional skills that help them navigate challenges, build relationships, and succeed in school and beyond.

“Boys & Girls Club teaches us a lot about working in teams and how to get better at expressing your emotions and socially interacting with other people,” shared Elias, a rising sixth-grade Club member.

As they begin their middle school journey, we celebrate the skills, character, and confidence they’ve built along the way. Austin needs Club kids, and these rising sixth graders are future-ready to learn, lead, connect, and thrive. 🌱

As we get ready to welcome Club members for Great Futures Summer Camp, our staff have been hard at work preparing for an unforgettable summer. 

Through training in youth safety, positive youth development, and engaging programming, they’re building the foundation for a summer full of learning, friendship, discovery, and fun.

As the school year wraps up, we’re celebrating a true full-circle success story. 💙✨

Club alum, former BGCAA staff member, and proud BGCAA parent Darriyan Loera has completed her first year as a kindergarten teacher.

From growing up at the Club to now inspiring young minds in her own classroom, Darriyan’s journey is a powerful reminder that Great Futures start here—and come full circle.
