Sydney's Sanctuary and Cat Lounge

10/15/2026

Thank you to everyone who came out to Jeni’s South Congress for our give-back night!

You scooped up nearly $500 in ice cream, and because Jeni’s gave back 25% of every order, $120 came home to Sydney’s. In cat terms, that’s about 150 meals, a stack of new wand toys, and a few very happy naps.

Enormous thanks to the team at Jeni’s for opening their shop to us and giving so generously, and to Chewy Vet Care for joining the night and bringing the goods.

Partners like these are how a small rescue does big things. Go get yourself a scoop and tell them we sent you.

Angeliska of Sister Temperance Tarot has been reading in Austin for 30 years, and these are the cards she's calling in for our Mystic Whiskers Night on October 22. Look closely at the Queen of Wands, and there's a small black cat at her feet. By Strength, that kitty is a lion.

Tarot, a welcome drink, and a room full of opinionated cats.

Come commune with the cards and kitties.

Twenty cats. Two meals a day. About 600 cans every month.

Wet food is one of the lounge’s biggest recurring care costs. Every visit helps support the cats behind that number. 🐈

Quin listened to 50 British voiceovers to find the right voice for Lady Whiskersdown.

Why? Every guest hears the same rules before entering the lounge, delivered by one very proper talking cat.

Meet Lady Whiskersdown before your visit. 🐈🎩
