We erroneously posted earlier that the Fickett Center was closed on Monday, October 12. The Fickett Center is, in fact, open today. Apologies for the confusion.

From Scouts to the NFL!

As you settle in for Sunday football, here's a Scouting success story worth cheering for!

Houston Texans running back David Montgomery isn't just an NFL star. He's also an Eagle Scout!

Montgomery credits Scouting with teaching him leadership, character and perseverance. Today, he's paying it forward as Scouting America's first recruitment ambassador, inspiring the next generation to discover what Scouting can do for them.

His story is proof that you can chase big dreams on the field AND make a difference off it!

Scout salute to Madyson P. of Scouts BSA Troop 16 - our Scout of the Week!

Madyson volunteered to help during our recent Cub Scout Kite and Rocket Fest at Smilin V Scout Ranch. She was a HUGE help at the water rocket station and assisted many Cub Scouts in having a terrific time.

Madyson says she some of her favorite things about Scouting are camping and learning to be a leader. Just like a good leader, you were an amazing example to our Cubs, Madyson!

Troop 16 is chartered by ACTS Church Leander
