We are honored to join CureFest 2026 in Washington, DC, a movement dedicated to raising awareness, advocating for better treatments, supporting families, and fighting for a cure for childhood cancer. 🎗️🩷

What started from unimaginable heartbreak has turned into purpose, faith, and a mission bigger than ourselves. Because of Aubrie, we continue to advocate, love harder, and bring awareness to childhood cancer while sharing the hope God has carried us with.

We are so excited to participate in the Meet & Greet and connect with other families, warriors, survivors, and foundations from across the country.

Aubrie’s legacy continues to open doors, touch hearts, and remind us that her light still shines so brightly.

To the Class of 2026 congratulations on this incredible milestone. 🎓✨

As we celebrate each of you walking across that stage, chasing dreams, and stepping into a new chapter, we can’t help but feel the bittersweet emotions that come with this season.

For our family, this would have been the end of Aubrie’s junior year going into her senior year the beginning of all the exciting moments leading up to Class of 2027. While our hearts ache for the milestones she won’t physically get to experience, we find comfort in knowing her light continues to shine through this foundation and through every life touched by her story.

One of the biggest reasons behind our scholarship program is Aubrie’s dream of attending college, specifically attending the University of Texas to study Psychology. She had goals, dreams, and so much excitement for her future. Although she isn’t here to pursue those dreams herself, it means everything to us to help other students continue theirs in her honor.

We celebrate every graduate, every proud family, and every dream ahead. Please never take these moments for granted. They are truly priceless.

Congratulations, Class of 2026.

Today marks 2 years since Aubrie gained her wings.

Some days there are words, today there are only memories.

Memories of her smile, her laughter, her strength, and the love she left behind.
Not a day goes by that she isn’t missed, loved, and remembered.

Two years without her, yet her legacy continues to bloom in every life she touched.

As the anniversary of Aubrie’s passing approaches, I just want to remind everyone of something important… life is a gift. For some, it’s long. For others, it’s far too short. But either way, don’t waste the time you’ve been given.

We live thinking there will always be more time. More time to chase the dream, make the call, take the trip, say “I love you,” or become the person we want to be.

But when you’ve lost someone, you realize how precious time truly is. If you could ask them what they wanted most, I promise you… they would say more time.

So stop putting your life on hold.
Slow down and enjoy the moments.
Take the risk.
Submit the application.
Sign up for the course.
Start the business.
Take the picture.
Leave the group that drains you.
Protect your peace.
Love your people harder.

Because tomorrow is never promised, and time is something we can never get back.

Today we ran on behalf of the Aubrie Peña Legacy Foundation in honor and memory of the families we’ve come to know along this journey.

Not the same diagnosis, but the same battle..cancer. Brain cancer, to be exact.

When one family hurts, we all do. You never imagine being in those shoes until you are and then you realize how deeply connected our stories truly are. You know all those emotions all too well.

I’m both grateful and heartbroken to have met these families and to have heard their stories. Stories of children and teenagers facing cancer with a bravery far beyond their years.

We say and remember their names!

As May falls upon us, so does the month that I dread the most. My heart, mind and soul remembers every feeling, every tear, every prayer, every cry and every hug.

I know truly what the meaning of love and grief are cause I carry it with me everyday. It lives in the quiet, the empty seat at our table and in the space she filled so effortlessly in our home and in our hearts.

They say time makes things easier. But when someone so young had so much life left to live, time doesn’t take that away. It doesn’t quiet the “what could have been.”

What time has done is teach me how to carry it. How to live with the love that remains, even in the middle of the loss.

And as heavy as this month is it is also a reminder of just how deeply I love her and always will.

Love you Aubrie 🫶🏼

At the Aubrie Peña Legacy Foundation, everything we do is rooted in love, remembrance, and honoring the lives of our children.

This July, we are creating a special video project for bereaved parents, a space to gently share our children with the world by simply saying their names. This project is dedicated to honoring parents who have experienced the loss of a child at any age, for any reason.

This is for every parent who carries that love daily.
