You don't need a fully formed business plan to consider an MBA. Sometimes, there's just a problem you can't stop thinking about. For Sneha, an MBA student at Michigan Ross, that problem was: why are women so routinely under-diagnosed, and what would it take to change that?

To find the answers, she has focused her MBA experience on building a women's health venture through Ross' Pinkert Healthcare Accelerator and the Eugene Applebaum Dare to Dream Program.

Mollie Dube arrived at the Forté MBA Leadership Conference with a career map in mind. DaVita wasn’t on it.

Then she met the DaVita recruiting team, who saw her nursing background and MBA (from UMN Carlson School of Management) as a superpower. A mistyped email almost ended the conversation entirely, until a coincidental run-in at the airport put it back on track.

Today, Mollie is a Regional Operations Director at DaVita. She even recently returned to our MBA Leadership Conference as a panelist representing the company that first met her there.

Her story is a reminder that the Forté network provides access to leading companies and people who see your potential before you do.

Big congratulations to Dana McNabb on being named the next CEO of General Mills, effective Jan. 1, 2027! Dana joined us way back in 2019 for our Annual MBA Leadership Conference and we are proud to have had her in the room to inspire our community of aspiring leaders.

One lesson from Dana that has stayed with us is to turn your mistakes into opportunities. She had shared how an early campaign misstep caught the attention of a senior leader, who years later called to invite her onto a global marketing team in Switzerland. Her takeaway was that how you handle a mistake is what makes you a leader. That advice is still needed for today’s leaders as well. Owning your problems and fixing them can build trust that people remember for years.
